Origin/Class: Void – Riftscourge
Baron Nashor is one of the most terrifying 7-cost beasts in TFT Set 16. With crowd-control immunity, massive AoE damage, and powerful tentacle rifts, Baron acts as both a frontline monster and a backline destroyer. When placed in a proper Void composition, Baron creates overwhelming pressure through constant jumps, heavy magical bursts, and expanding Void Rifts that warp the entire battlefield.
Baron’s defining strengths are his long-range attacks, line-piercing damage, and the ability to spawn rifts that deal continuous magical harm, making him a devastating late-game carry.
Unlock Requirement:
Activate 4 Void – Riftscourge.
Baron gains increased magic damage, additional tentacles, and stronger leap effects.
✅ HOW TO UNLOCK BARON NASHOR – TFT SET 16
Baron Nashor is a 7-cost Unlockable Champion, which means he WILL NOT appear in your shop unless you fulfill his Region requirement.
Baron belongs to:
- Origin: Void
- Class: Riftscourge
However, his unlock condition is tied ONLY to Void, not Riftscourge.
⭐ 🔓 Unlock Condition for Baron Nashor
Reach level 10 and have 7 Void generals on the field.
→ ACTIVATE 4 VOID
Once your board reaches 4 Void, Baron Nashor becomes unlocked and can now appear in your shop like any other 7-cost unit.
✔ With 4 Void → Baron CAN appear
🎯 Important Notes:
✔ You only need to unlock him one time
After Baron appears and you buy him, you may drop below 4 Void — he remains usable.
✔ If you drop below 4 Void BEFORE buying him → he stops appearing
You must reactivate 4 Void to make him appear in the shop again.
✔ He follows the standard 7-cost shop odds:
- Level 7 → extremely low chance
- Level 8 → low chance
- Level 9 → highest chance
📌 Simple Example
If your team includes:
- Kassadin
- Kai’Sa
- Vel’Koz
- Cho’Gath
→ You have 4 Void → Baron Nashor is now unlocked.
You buy Baron → then you can safely remove some Void units if needed.
🐉 Why does Baron Nashor require unlocking?
Because he is one of the strongest late-game monsters in Set 16:
- CC-immune
- long-range Void beam
- backline-jumping
- Void Rift tentacles that scale over time
Riot restricts him behind a Void activation gate to prevent early snowballing.
ABILITY: VOID ANNIHILATION
Mana: 0/80
Baron unleashes pure Void energy, firing destructive beams, slamming the battlefield, and creating tentacle-filled rifts that grow stronger over time.
The ability has three major components:
(1) Void Beam – Destructive Void Ray
Baron fires a linear Void beam, dealing 280/420/1800 magic damage to all enemies in its path.
- If no target is in range, Baron leaps to the next closest enemy.
- The cast cannot be interrupted — Baron is immune to CC.
- Extremely effective at hitting the backline.
(2) Rift Smash – Shattering Ground Slam
Baron slams the ground, unleashing an expanding shockwave that deals AoE magic damage.
- Deals bonus damage to enemies standing inside the Void Rift.
- Can hit both front and backline, breaking enemy formations.
(3) Void Rift – Abyssal Zone
After casting a spell, Baron opens a Void Rift beneath him.
- Tentacles strike enemies at random, dealing magic damage over time.
- Every 4 seconds, a new tentacle spawns (up to 5 total).
- The entire Rift follows Baron if he leaps.
This is what turns Baron into a late-game menace: the longer the fight goes, the more tentacles appear, and the more overwhelming his damage becomes.
REGION EFFECTS (Based on Active Regions):
Demacia
Gains bonus Armor, Magic Resist, and increased ability damage.
Noxus
Each spell or attack increases Baron’s damage by 4%, stacking infinitely.
Freljord
All Baron abilities slow enemies and apply bonus true damage based on max HP.
Ionia
Reduces mana cost and grants attack speed after every cast.
Ixtal
Grants a random elemental enhancement:
- Fire: wider splash damage
- Lightning: bouncing strikes
- Earth: increased defenses
- Wind: increased attack speed
Piltover
If Baron hits 3 or more targets, he generates bonus Gold.
Shadow Isles
Tentacles lifesteal and heal Baron per hit.
Shurima
Expands the Void Rift and knocks up enemies at its center.
Targon
Gains HP regen and a shield scaling with damage dealt.
Void
Gains 25% bonus magic penetration, stacking with his base penetrate.
Yordle
Shrinks targets hit by Baron’s abilities, reducing their damage by 15%.
Zaun
